A retrial queueing system consists of a primary service facility of finite capacity and an orbit. Customers arrive from outside the system according to Poisson process, or from the orbit according to a rate that depends upon the number of customers in the orbit. The approximated steady state probabilities are obtained for any queueing size by assuming that the retrial customers see time averages. The waiting time distribution is extracted for the customers in orbit if only one retrial is permitted.
