The journal follows a double-blind reviewing procedure. This means that the author will remain anonymous to the reviewers throughout peer review. It is the responsibility of the author to anonymize the manuscript and any associated materials.
Author names, affiliations, and any other potentially identifying information should be removed from the manuscript file and any accompanying files.
Authors should avoid citing their own work in a way that could reveal their identity.
Manuscripts reporting primary research or secondary analysis of primary research will have at least two referees per manuscript.
Manuscript requirements
A manuscript's submission means that the work mentioned has never been published before; that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere; and that its publication has been accepted by all co-authors, if any. If graphics, tables, or sections of text previously published are to be used, the authorization of the copyright holder must have been obtained before submission.
- Please follow the hyperlink “Submit a manuscript” and upload all your manuscript files following the instructions given on the screen.
- Please make sure that the language is corrected before submission (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).
- For your manuscript text please always submit in common word processing formats such as .docx or LaTeX.
- The manuscript title should be concise and informative.
- Font: Times New Roman.
- Subsequent text is then generally divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, and Reference sections, but deviations from this format are acceptable.
- Footnotes:
Always use footnotes instead of endnotes.
Footnotes can be used to give additional knowledge, which may include the citation of a reference included in the reference list. They should not contain any figures or tables.
Footnotes to the text are numbered consecutively; those to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data).
- Acknowledgments of people, grants, etc. should be placed at the end of the text before the references list. The names of funding organizations should be written in full.
A separate “Title Page” should be submitted and include:
- Title of manuscript.
- Author’s name(s),
- Clarify the corresponding author.
- Affiliation (s) of the author (s), i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country
- An active e-mail address of the author (s)
- If available, the 16-digit ORCID of the author(s)

- Identify any previously published material by giving the original source in the form of a reference at the end of the table caption.
- Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data) and included beneath the table body.
Figures
- All figures should be submitted electronically and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and have clear captions.
- Both color and black-and-white files are allowed.
- All figures should be supplied at the highest resolution/quality possible with numbers and text legible.
- Electronic figures created in other applications should be supplied in their original formats and should also be either copied and pasted into a blank MS Word document or submitted as a PDF file.
