This paper derives five measures of location of an inverse Rayleigh distribution which depend on an unknown paramter 0. The parameter 6 is estimated by the method of maximum likelihood, and the method of moments. Some other estimators are also obtained. Some applications of the invarse Rayleigh distribution in Reliability studies are indicated. The results of a simulation study are presented for the comparison of biases and mean square errors of various estimators of e.
