In life testing (type I censored), a new statistical model called mixed Weibull-exponential distribution has been suggested; the maximum likelihood estimates for its unknown parameters and their approximate asymptotic, variance covariance matrix have been derived. An iterative procedure will be developed and tested using computer facilities and numerical example to obtain the new estimators and their variance covariance matrix.
