Admissibility and Uniform Admissibility when Estimating the Population Counterpart of a U-Statistic
We consider the estimation problem of a class of parametric functions namely the population counterpart of a U-statistic. Recently, Meeden and Ghosh (1982,1983) have provided quite simple but powerful tools for proving admissibility of estimators and estimator design pairs in finite population sampling problems. These techniques have been then generalized by Mazloum and Meeden (1987). We consider what these techniques yield in the way of admissibility results when estimating the class of functions discussed.
