Shortest Confidence Interval for the Shape Parameter of the Weibull Distribution Based on X₍ⱼ₎ / X₍ᵢ₎, j > i.
This paper is concerned with deriving a new estimator for the shape parameter of the Weibull distribution based on X(j) / X(i),j > i. Numerical investigation using computer facilities will be carried out to determine the best combination (j, i) which gives the shortest confidence interval.
