The Multiple Ray Model for Detecting Interaction in Mixture Studies with an Illustration
Detecting interaction in mixtures of multiple chemical agents is of great importance and has a wide range of application (medicine, environment, etc.). the methods already available require a large number of design points, which makes them quite expensive and not feasible therefore, there is a need for a cost-efficient methodology to detect departures from additivity. in this paper, the well knowns statistical tools (such as the ml estimation and statistical inference) are applied to the study of detecting interaction in a manner that makes this study cost-efficient and needs only he mixture data to support it. the method is based on a multiple-ray- design. two aspects of this approach will be discussed: estimation and inference.
