Differential Operators Approach to Moments for Family of Lerch Distribution
In fact Lerch family with three parameters discrete distribution is not an easy family to be handled in the sense of moments. In this paper we derived the truncation forms of Lerch distribution with conditions on the parameters which satisfy the existence and convergence for the infinite series which the distributions depend on them. The main purpose of this paper is to use the differential operators to derive all moments. These operators are useful in situation where directly derivation of moment generating functions for them may be quite difficult. So it's easy to derive higher moments and study the skewness and kurtosis for distributions of the Lerch family.
